Welcome back! I am Emmet! I am ready for our rematch! This time, I am really serious. Really serious. Because if a battle is not serious, it is not fun.

I dunno, getting tested was still fun even if it wasn't totally "serious." [But he's grinning wider this time, for sure. It's more fun when you're serious, at least!]

[Emmet's in top form, though, and he's gotten creative! That time in Luceti, training with Silver... it's showing, in his new sparks of creativity, but he's at least not as wild or crazy as Hilda. Or Silver.]

[Oh, geez-- Emmet has gotten better. There's definitely new stuff being thrown at him, here-- reminiscent of Hilda's creativity, but less.... nuts.

Emmet will win, in the end, though Hilbert goes down fighting-- grinning his way through the battle even as his last Pokemon fails to take out Emmet's. It's invigorating! Of course, that's what battles are about, in the first place.]

Yeah. It's like-- you're battling kinda like Hilda, but with less recklessness, which makes it more sustainable[for non-shounen-heroes]. Makes for tighter strategies, too. It's really interesting!

[You got an exclamation mark from him outside of battle, good job!!] So did you leave the subway for this different environment? Sounds like it would've been tougher than just going to Route 5, though.

It's somewhere I never want to see again. [Wow that sounds surprisingly ominous and dark from Emmet. Especially since in the same breath, he continues on perfectly casually.] But I learned many valuable things from it. I got stronger.

Dunno about talented-- [That's Hilda's thing, huge talent] --but I do try to plan for things... Couldn't compensate for Eelektross's combo, though. That was pretty sharp of you, finding that hole... I'll have to figure a way to fix that. [a gap in his defenses....!! gotta work on that!]

I learned that it is important to be flexible! I don't think it is quite right to be as reckless as Silver or Miss Hilda, but their methods in small doses are actually quite effective.

Mm... maybe I should learn too. Though Hilda usually makes up for that tenfold when we battle.... [He just acts as her backup, filling in holes.]

He's a very strange boy. Sometimes, he's very mature and handles himself very well... sometimes, he's very child-like. He's a calm person, like Ingo, but can get as excitable as Miss Hilda. He tends to keep his distance, a lot of times. Even with Ingo and I. But that's from his poor self esteem, and other sorts of things. Even then, he is a very gentle and affectionate young man, and a good kid.

I'm proud of him!

[So proud that his speech was entirely devoid of train puns.]

Sounds like a good guy. [Heh, your enthusiasm is cute, Emmet.] If he's distant, guess I'll have to do my best to get to know him... [But it's the protags who have to come up and press A on the NPCs, usually...]

[Silver is the protag that goes through town and gets things done as quickly as possible, whereas Hilda is the one that talks to every single person and even every single trash can before moving on.]

You should! You two would be good friends. He has Miss Hilda firing him up, but he could use a calming friend, too! You can pull the brakes when Hilda charges his speed up too greatly.
