[CANNOT LOSE THIS COMPETITION.

Even if everything hurts. Even if after a while, he starts lagging behind. But he can't lag behind. He at least has to keep up with her.

It takes a lot more of what little stamina Hilda had, and squishes his weight on top of hers as she effectively breaks his fall and grasps tightly onto the branch for balance. There's a pause as she waits until she's certain of her hold on Silver, and the sturdiness of the branch.]

Two life debts.

[Her breath is a bit raspy, especially in her breathing, but she looks especially smug.]

[He's trying to catch his fall and reaching for Honchkrow's ball and

Once he's sure that he's not going to start falling again, he works on getting bet- ow. Ow.

...C'mon, let's keep climbing. [He starts climbing again, but this time he takes it at his own pace with less of a focus on speed and more of a focus on keeping his grip.]

[Good, because after that, Hilda's not in any shape to speed up, herself. She pauses, making it look like she's on unsteady footing or trying to find a firmer grip, when really she's just... panting.

She'll have to check out why her chest feels so compressed and smaller after this date.]

[He keeps climbing for a while without really thinking about it, but eventually he stops- half to catch his breath, and half to check on Hilda...]

...Are you okay? [Nevermind him. Nevermind his injuries, exhaustion, near death- none of that. Is Hilda okay?]

Heh, good point, we weren't really in shape for that after a stumble.

I battled Arceus like three days in a row, my whole body is tired. Spent up my reserve energy, or something.

[She waves it off like it's nothing!]

Duh! Of course you were the first person I wanted to see and do awesome things with, didn't matter what I was doing before. I was gonna rest first, but you were in a pinch and once I got here, I got impatient.
