By the time they get home and Silver's made sure that Blue's eye is healed (he's enlisted in the help of an Audino for that because he trusts a Pokémon cleric more than doctors any way so there's no need to it to just be iced,) it's still not late enough for dinner, so he fixes them up a snack- everyone gets a mix of sliced up berries for now. He reads the notes, which match up with what Blue and Barett have said; he does take comfort in the fact that they're both being honest with him. That's more important than anything.
There are plenty of things for them to do at home; they can play with the toys that Silver's carefully managed to afford for them, they can watch TV, they can play with their Pokémon or go outside- whatever they'd like...
Or they can talk to daddy Silver and ask him questions at any moment. He'll be all over doing whatever they'd like to do anyway.]
[Barett goes outside to go lay down with The Dude and his Vulpix, to take a nap. Blue looks at him before closing the door and going up to Silver, a worried look on her face.]
...We'll see what happens tomorrow. Maybe he just needs to get used to it.
[He offers Blue a reassuring smile- he might just be too concerned, but he won't know anything until he sees Barett give it his all.]
You're doing a good job being his sister, you know. You've been looking after him and worrying about him. Just don't worry too much, okay? Everything's gonna be alright.
They're looking after each other. He can't do everything, but Blue and Barett don't just have him. They also have each other. They've got each other and their whole family.]
...I'm really lucky, you know. I've got the two best kids in the world.
[...Uh-] He was at the Lake of Rage in Johto, and the leader of all the other Magikarp and Gyarados. He was a lot bigger than the rest of them and the only one that was red.
Someone was hurting him, so he got angry and started rampaging. The other Gyarados started rampaging along with him. I didn't want anyone to get hurt, so I caught him. The rest of the Gyarados calmed down when I did.
He grew really close to me because I helped ease his pain. My best friend helped me catch him, so Gyarados is really fond of him too. [That's... That's the not Team Rocket version. Yes. Blue doesn't need to know about Team Rocket- at least not now.]

Get through tomorrow. If it's really that bad, I'll see what I can do.

And you're a strong, calm, sweet, and handsome boy. You're destined for as many great things as your sister is.

Blue's been quiet. He turns to her now. He'll wait to see if she speaks up before saying anything.]

Can I put ice on my eye?

Daddy? Is something wrong with Barett?
no subject
I don't think so, but... If there is, I'm gonna find out. [...H-hair ruffles.] Barett's gonna be okay, alright? Don't worry about it too much.

He ran for a little while, but he stopped and just went to sit down. The teacher got pretty mad and said he shouldn't be lazy...
no subject
Do you know how he was when he stopped? Was he really out of breath? Did he look okay?

I've got a strange colored Pokémon just like you!

[And Pinky's gotten a lot more healthy ever since- being pink in a wild environment isn't easy unless you're a Sneasel.]
