No. You still go to school with them. Whether or not that kid deserved it, hitting him didn't make anything better. It didn't make him change his mind about what he said. He might make fun of both of you next time. The entire class might fear you because all they know is that you punched some kid. That's no way to get along or make friends with anyone, and it's gonna be a lot tougher going to school with a bunch of kids that don't like you.

The same goes for me too, you know. If someone ever said something bad about anyone in my family, I'd want to punch them too, but if I punched them, I could get into a lot of trouble. I might not be able to see you guys for a while.

You're a strong, bright, beautiful, and energetic girl with a lot to offer. Letting one kid ruin that for you thanks to a few dumb words he said is letting him win. He doesn't know what he's talking about.
