Soooo in the future! Hilda managed to woo Silver and keep him for more than a week.

When Hilda's about 26 and Silver's 24, she's finally got him doing more "couple"-like things with her.




It's a good thing they're a somewhat decent age to be parents?

[He nods and pulls the crown off of Barett's head- for now, anyway.]

Go find your sister while I pay for it, alright?

[Okay! Off the kids go.










But they don't come back...]

[tsuntrader]

[The crown has been bought! And Silver waits for his kids to come back.

...And he waits some more.

And then he goes looking for them, not too concerned, but he... Doesn't find them...?

Guys, this isn't funny-]

[Nope, gone... no trace of them anywhere. No footprints sprinting off into the sand, no scuffmarks on the floor, nothing...]

[tsuntrader]

[...This is where he starts to get worried. He asks a few people if they've seen his two kids, but he gets nothing. Nothing at all.

Then panic sets in. He lets out Honchkrow and flies up, hoping to spot them from a higher view. Where--?]

[He'll spot a stranger in an alleyway, on a phone. And... hey, is that your phone ringing?]

[tsuntrader]

[A call from his Pokégear, from a number he doesn't recognize. Okay, sure. It's something to keep him from panicking while looking for his kids, right?

He picks up.]

What is it?

Neither of your kids has a peanut allergy, right?

[It seems to be the person in the alley! They are staring straight up at you, Silver.]

You and I need to arrange a meeting.

[tsuntrader]

[What...

Oh he'll arrange a meeting. In fact, he's flying down right now.]

Ah-ah-ah! No Pokémon, fly-boy, or we can't make an arrangement at all.

[tsuntrader]

[...Alright, alright. He lands an adequate distance away from the guy before recalling Honchkrow. No Pokémon. Is that what he wants?]

[He'll still talk on the phone!]

Good, good. Now, we've been looking for an old friend of ours. We'll call him Gene. We need Gene back, and that's what we're going to arrange an exchange for.

[tsuntrader]

[Gene?

...Genesect. Is that what they're after?]

And if I refuse?

Well, let's see... I think the little girl's name should be something like Jenny, don't you? Something cute but inconspicuous on a passport.

[tsuntrader]

[...]

Where should I bring Gene?

[Is it wrong to hand such a powerful Pokémon over to some dangerous guy in exchange for a couple of lives? Probably, but Silver can't bring himself to care. He'll come up with a plan. He can already think of a few.]

We've got a ship, and I'll tell you the location when you hang up and come over here. Just let it be known, if I'm not back with my buddies exactly on time, they're taking off for good.

[tsuntrader]

[That's more than enough of an incentive to get moving. He's quick to hang up, but makes sure he seems calm and casual before heading over.

And he's good at it. The lack of any present stress could even be unsettling.]

[The person in the alley is wearing just a generic suit, but has a mask and gloves on. He tucks his phone in his chest pocket, and casually puts his hands in his pants pockets.]

So! Nice to meet you, Mr. Silver. We'll be anchored north of here, outside the Seaside Cave. We're not looking for a fight, so the only Pokémon that should be on you is Gene. Arrive at 6:25 am tomorrow. If we see you coming with other Pokémon on your belt or with tipping off the cops, we'll set sail. And we'll give you your kids when you pass us Gene's ball.

Capiche?

[tsuntrader]

You got it. I've never been a big fan of the cops anyway.

[Shorter than him- 5'8"? 5'9"?- and of a pretty unimpressive build. He stands casually, but it would be easy to knock him off balance. Either he's really cocky or just plain stupid.

But the most defining trait is that he's not dead yet.

Tomorrow. Tomorrow will fix that.]

[He's got that cockiness of "I've got you where it hurts so I know you won't hit me" going on.]

Alright, then. You stay here in Undella until then. Ciao.

[He gives a two-fingered salute, before turning around and heading off.

[Enjoy it. Right.

He stays in Undella town as directed; he has Honchkrow fly off with his Pokémon outside of Genesect at some point in the day. He even takes his jacket. So much for his Pokémon helping him out, right? It's not like his Pokémon can ask for help. They know better.

Yeah right. Once Honchkrow's a good distance away, he lets out Weavile to round up some of the Sneasel and Weavile living nearby. Weavile heard the plan from his ball. He knows what to do. Honchkrow then heads home to find Kingdra, who takes off into the water to gather her own forces in the water. Feraligatr and Gyarados would stand out too much. From there, he heads out of the house again and wanders around with the frustration that comes from knowing that he has to wait.

He doesn't sleep; there's no way he could get to sleep after something like this, and he can't head home or risk missing the time anyway. When the time finally comes, he heads over to their ship- once again, he's completely calm.]

[Silver will arrive, the massive ex-Plasma ship anchored. But there's no signs of a crew, and things are silent. No one seems to be outside of the ship or looking to the shore to look for Silver. Perhaps the ladder was supposed to be lowered at exactly 6:25?

But the minutes pass, and nothing. Not a sound from the ship, aside from the water slapping against its sides.

Time is passing, but there's no response whatsoever from the ship.]
