Me? Hah hah, no... I don't think you can enter in pairs anyway. I can't handle that much light and heavy air these days. But if you want to go, you should. It's fun.
[Thank you, Barett. He nods and steps up to the counter!
The woman asks him if he'd like to en...ter? Are you sure?
There's some fussing about his lack of vision and insistence on his behalf before she relents and signs him up, but she makes sure to inform him that he won't get any handicaps.
[And so they go in! The crowd's a little confused when some guy with a weird looking cane that looks kind of like Unova's champion and familiar in some other way for the older fans comes in. They even quiet down, whispering among each other- some people think he's crazy, some people think he's stupid.
But the crowd is irrelevant while he's fighting. It's years in the future; he doesn't recognize half of the gym leaders, Pokémon- what's a Fairy-type?- and even some moves, but that's fine.
Ursaring cleanly cleaves through his first two opponents anyway.
It's a sight to behold; their movements are precise and fluid and the crowd eats it right up. It may be similar to Barett's dad, but at the same time, it's still very different.
What's most different, of course, is the energy that goes into it.]
[Barett is impressed! He knows watching on a screen is nothing like being in the crowd, or being on the stage - but he's content to sit and watch, petting his ninetales to keep himself relaxed, a broad smile on his face. His dad didn't battle like this, did he? Maybe he did, a long time ago. Barett ponders on that...]

Yeah, sure. Why?

Yeah, yeah. I'm just explaining it.

You think you'd be able to handle it?

I can wait, then. [He's not gonna leave Barett behind to go off and battle...]
no subject
It's okay, I need to sit down for a while anyway. I'll be cheering for you.
[very very quietly...]
no subject
Alright. Which way is it?
no subject
[Barett leads the way! He's still pretty slow, whoopsie daisy.]

And soon enough, they're at the PWT! Barett leads him to the signup counter.]
Here, this nice woman can explain anything you need to know.

Good.]

Barett just hangs out, sitting himself in front of one of the viewing screens and letting his ninetales out to sit with him.]

Rhyperior. The crowd goes nuts when he hops right on top of him to go into battle.
Three guesses on who wins in the end, and the first two don't count.]
no subject
That was incredible.
no subject
Made me feel kinda outdated, but... Thanks. [He learned from the best, so...]

[His voice is so low and quiet, in this noisy building.]
Let's go, there's a lot more to see in Driftveil. I need to pick up some herbs from the market.
no subject
...Yep he's hoisting Barett up and running out of here not dealing with any attention nope come on Weavile]
no subject
What're you--
no subject
[And you know your lungs and all]
Which way do we go?
[Yep yep he's just gonna casually run out of the main area of the PWT with Barett in tow-]
no subject
If you can, follow ninetales??
