[N turns to them, telling them to go outside. All of them save for the Zoroark leave.]

[...Alright then. He hesitantly lets out Genie and keeps as calm as he can- it's pretty easy to tell why Silver was so cautious because Genesect immediately gets worked up because he's in an unfamiliar person's presence. It's hard enough to be comfortable around Silver and Hilda, but some new person?]

Take it easy, alright? This guy's not an enemy. [But he doesn't move to get in its way or encroach on its personal space.] He might be able to help you out.

[N's eyes narrow when he sees the Pokémon. It's got far too many ill omens. The behavior, the body, and the voice...

N carefully approaches, speaking quietly to it. And when it's clear that N can hear its voice, the Pokémon hisses and twangs speech at him. It takes time, and conversation swiftly had, but over the course of a tense ten minutes, N has closed the distance and has his hands on Genie's head, rubbing it sadly and shedding tears for it.]

[He keeps whispering that, no matter if Genie was growling or whining.]

[It's a tense ten minutes, even if Silver tries to stay neutral and casual. But when N does manage to put a hand on his head, and starts crying, well...]

It was Team Plasma. Behind my back, they were creating this creature, putting him through unspeakable pain and genetic engineering. He was... the back-up plan.

[It hurts him so much to say such things, to have discovered such things.]

They lost him, and so they took Kyurem instead.

[tsuntrader]

[Behind his... He was a big part of Team Plasma, wasn't he? He doesn't remember the details.

But he clenches his fists.] They're lucky that Hilda already wiped them out. [They're just as bad as Team Rocket and he would love to crush them--]

And that Rosa defeated their revival. It's better for everyone, Pokémon and human alike, that they're gone.

[tsuntrader]

[Genetic engineering. That's what his father did to create Mewtwo, wasn't it?

Team Plasma and Team Rocket aren't that different. ...He'll have to ask Rosa about the revival later.]

At least it's in the past now. [For now. He doesn't trust Teams that have been taken down to stay down, especially after a revival...

He turns to Genie.] You heard the guy. No one's gonna hurt you anymore, especially not if I have anything to say about it.

[Genie is still suspicious, but it calms him to see N so remorseful on his behalf, that he's finally starting to chill out.

N keeps his hand on Genie, rubbing his head soothingly.]

[There's a pause before it grumbles something.]

[...Heh.] So you really do like that name. [He's pushing his luck, but he does try to offer up his hand to pet it. When Genie lets him, he headpats it, but he keeps things brief to keep it from getting too uncomfortable.]

[nharmony]

Be gentle, and show him that your touch is always loving... even if you cannot hear his voice, he can hear yours and feel your touch.

[tsuntrader]

...You're kinda weird, but you're still pretty cool.

[nharmony]

[N shakes his head and smiles, stepping back to give Genie space.]

If you know where Hilda is, then I'll come along. I need to see my friend once again, after all this time.

[tsuntrader]

I'm not sure where she is right now, but I contacted her already. [Look, Pokégear!]

She'll call back eventually. Until then, you're stuck with me.

I'll tell my friends they can go back to their homes, then. Wait here.

[He goes and chats with the team of Pokémon, sending them off. Only the Zoroark stays at his side.]

[Zoroark gestures for Silver to follow. It leads to a downwards staircase, glancing back only briefly before disappearing into the dark.]

[Zoroark continues! And it's stopped outside a particular door, and it's holding a lit torch. It knows Flamethrower, after all. It holds the torch out for Silver to take, while stepping aside so that he may enter the room.]
