He takes a couple of detours to grab a few of his Pokémon (namely Kingdra) from home (and to leave dads a quick note saying be back in a couple of months I'm going to Johto or something) and to grab some junk food and Casteliacones, but it's still not long before he's at the docks!]

--No I know he'll give you that sad puppy face, but it doesn't matter! Just do me a solid and keep an eye on him. No, he should be able to take care of himself, he's just really lonely. ...No I really wouldn't recommend taking him into the studio, I'm sure he'll start a fight with the people there about making the Pokémon work under hot studio lights or something dumb. ... Well yes he always has a point but the point is that he can't be so absolute about things anymore--

Anyway I gotta go, I'm gonna miss the departure time for this boat and I don't trust myself not to drop my phone in the water.

[The way is led! She's pretty excited, even if she has to scramble to get the tickets out for the boat. It's not a faaancy boat but it's luxurious enough to accommodate for a longer cruise towards Johto.]

Okay, two tickets but only one room. I think it has bunk beds, if I remember right? If not, I've got the comfier sleeping bag.

Looking through Hoenn. There was apparently some sort of ruckus there. Met a cool guy named Brendan, seems he took care of most of that stuff.

He's like, the perfect opposite of me. He likes cutesy things and contests and he dresses up his legendary Pokémon in pink, it's really funny. His Secret Base was decked with pink and yellow stuff.

Of course, he could kick some butt in battle, too. First time I decided to whip out Terrorbolt. He grabbed that Groudon of his and we duked it out, it was metal.

[...] Did you say Groudon? [Isn't that the huge Pokémon that's the opposite of Kyogre?]

Yup! Apparently he caught all three of those legendaries to keep them from tearing each other - and the whole region - apart.

He thinks of the fact that Hilda caught Arceus.

Next time, I'm gonna ask him if I can battle that Rayquaza one. It looked so boss.

[Reminds him of Mewtwo.] It's still weird, especially with the bigger ones. It would be one thing if I caught Entei, but another if I brought home Lugia.

Different worlds, different ways! I think here, you're supposed to get pretty close and tight with legendaries. They like "choosing" trainers to spend time with.
