[Nimbasa is a huge city. A tiny little toddler- no older than four at most- can easily get lost in the crowd, especially a quiet one that has no idea where he is.
Sure, he's alone and hungry, but he'll figure something out, right?... If he's out of there, so's Blue...
...Blue. He wishes Blue was with him right now. She'd know what to do.
But he's not completely alone. He's surrounded by people. That guy can't find and take him while there are a bunch of people watching.
[Someone indeed! When Emmet sees a mop of red hair, he does a triple take - that was a child, so it couldn't be Silver, but on the third glance - that had to be, right? Emmet found his way through the crowd and crouched near the young child.]
Hmmm... okay! Since you're alone and no one else is here to take care of you, how about you come visit my place? It's going to rain today, and I have plenty of food to share. And you can play with all of my Joltik!
[He takes off his hat, letting out the joltik that decided to come along for the day. After all, he knows big-Silver takes the word of Pokémon over any person's word.]
[...But once any immediate danger has passed, he looks at them.
They're... They're so small. He almost reaches his hand out to try to touch one, but thinks better of it. Still, they seem so friendly. Nothing like the other Pokémon he's seen.
...Okay. He nods. Sneasel can protect him if he tries to do anything bad.]
See? He's friendly. I have a whoooole bunch back at my place! They like to jump and scurry on people. If you want, you can come meet them and pick one to keep!
...But he's not completely on edge because of the Joltik. He looks up at Emmet and waits for him to... lead the way? He's not sure. He's tired, hungry, and...
[Yep, there goes the rain! Emmet stands up, and holds the edge of his coat out for Silver.]
Here! You can hold onto my coat, and we can be a train! That way, you won't get lost on the way there, since you'll be following my tracks. All aboard!
[Onward march! Emmet leads the way, glancing back and smiling at Silver as they go along. They'll get there before the rain really starts pouring, at least.]
There's a lot of Joltik, so don't be too surprised!
[The joltik start collecting at Silver's feet, squeaking tiny little squeaks. Emmet closes the door behind them gently, not locking it, and heads to the kitchen.]
Hmm... do you like sandwiches, Silver? I can make peanut butter and jelly.

And maybe someone can help him.]

Hello? Are you lost?
no subject
But he's still really tall. ...He looks kinda creepy...
He holds onto Sneasel's claw- Sneasel is just as tiny as he is. It takes a moment of consideration, but he eventually gives in and nods.]

I am Emmet! I live in this city. I work on the subway: I like trains.
What's your name?
no subject
He opens his mouth, almost ready to say it... Before thinking better of it and shaking his head.]

...He pulls off one of his gloves and shows Emmet what it says on the inside.
"Silver".]

Silver. Okay! Don't worry, Silver, I won't hurt you. Do you think you came here with someone?
no subject
...But it's better to keep Blue a secret. It's safer for her, right? He shakes his head.]
no subject
No mom or dad? No big brother or sister?
no subject
Headshake. Just him.]

Don't worry, it's just Joltik. He won't hurt you, he just wants to absorb all the static electricity from your clothes.

Alright, everyone, clear away from the platform!
[The joltik all bounce further into the building as Emmet opens the door entirely to let Silver inside.]
no subject
The window? He can climb up on some things in this room, but this guy is really tall...
...He and Sneasel slowly head in.]

Sneasel thinks it over and eventually nods. Silver turns at Emmet and nods at him along with Sneasel. Yes. That's okay.]

[He'll make a PB&J for Silver, and two egg sandwiches for himself and for Sneasel. It doesn't take too long! He offers the two plates to the boys.]
Here you go! If you don't like it, just say so, I will find another thing to make!

he's scrambling for high ground the second that sandwich is in his hands and is scarfing it down immediately-]

Although once he finishes, his throat feels really dry and gross, and he's still hungry...
Sneasel is too, but food is food.]
