Gold's question has been long forgotten as he looks back and forth between the red bird and Gold as if he expects an explanation out of him.]

[Yeah, okay, this hurts a little because this isn't the Silver he knows or something like that and that means... Whatever. Gold frowns, letting go of Silver's hand so he can pet Chobo's pretty feathers. She obviously enjoys the attention, even if she scold him with trills about it. Focus on his kid rather than Silver.]

So. You don't remember nothing about Chobo, or Saeng Seong, or anything like that?

Chobo? Is that her name? [What the heck is a Saeng Song? Sing song? ...Is that where Gold was? Is that what Gold remembers?...]

Yeah, that's her name. [So he doesn't... That's actually kind of a relief, thinking about it. It's probably better that way. Then he can just. Push aside his feelings. Probably. Wonder if Crys remembers...]

I got her as an egg from a guy named Ramza back in Saeng Seong. Pretty good guy. Talked funny, but was fun to hang with. She's a Chocobo and her kind - the red kind, there's three of 'em - can spit fireballs and stuff. You can ride her, too. She's fast.

She looks pretty tough. [Hey Chobo, are you friendly? Silver approaches her with some caution and offers her a hand.] What was Saeng Song like?

[It's okay, Silver, Chobo adores you. Happy sounds and nuzzling into his hand, leaning over to preen his hair habitually. Pibu'll climb onto Silver's should while he's there!]

Big. It had five districts when I left, but there were more that weren't alright for people to be walkin' around in too. The city ran on physical contact. Which is why I was holdin' your hand and all. [And because he likes Silver.] I just got used to it. They were achin' for help, so they brought us in and stuff and asked us and gave us a ton of stuff and pretty much answered any questions we had. It was fun 'cause Crys was there too and we were all livin' in the same apartment.

[They were all close and together and hell if Gold's gonna leave that behind here, too. He got used to it.]
