[After Blue gets the championship, and Barett becomes famous for directing his Pokémon in Musicals, films, and just about anything else the Pokémon seem to want to do, things have settled down somewhat. Blue and Barett are home, mostly, enjoying the company of their family.
What a picture perfect event! Even if things aren't tooootally perfect, it's mostly alright, right...?]
Sorry, I didn't mean to... [Except for that very, very familiar redheaded boy that's holding up the line.
The familiar redhead that's armed with a cuestick and currently getting a free Casteliacone from the stand out of pity and compassion. He looks genuinely apologetic! Then surprised! Then grateful, and gives them a huge smile.]
He swiftly taps his cuestick on the ground a few times before taking off. Weavile meets up with him as they dive around a corner; everyone around them is baffled enough to keep from reacting even remotely close to in time.]
[One of them reacted well enough. The moment that Blue even locked her gaze on the weavile, Barett had let his Ninetales out.
In front of the ice type is a fierce wall of Fire Spin, roaring hotter from the intensified sunlight. Ninetales had rushed ahead! And Barett was shuffling from behind, and Blue running faster.]
Is that your Pokémon? You have to pay for what you're taking!
[Barett's voice doesn't project strongly, unfortunately. He sounds flimsy and unintimidating.]
That's cute. He raises his cuestick; Weavile hops on it to use it as a boost; he's soon past the fire spin and out of the way. Silver moves just as fast as he does. Gotta move better than that if you want to catch them!
He's not completely sure what that Pokémon was, but he's got his Pokédex to confirm it for him; the second he hears "ni," he shuts it and begins to form a strategy.]
[While Barett stops, gasping and wheezing, Blue continues the chase!]
Spike!
[Out bounds a Jolteon! It starts running, an awful lot faster than a Weavile, catching up. It ignores the trainer, of course, it's just rude to attack a trainer! But it lines Weavile up in its sights, and...]
But before he could really decide on a solid action- stealing ice cream isn't exactly on top of his concern list- Barett is wheezing, so he's heading to his side.
[Kinda hard to mind it if it can't quite hit. But he realizes the speed difference and hops up on Silver's shoulder, who doesn't even seem to notice the change in weight.
You wouldn't hit a trainer, would you?]
You really gotta play hero, huh? [Out comes the Pokédex again, just for the name.] I'll give you credit for catching on so quick, but not much else.
No really! Same hair, and you look like old pictures of you that grandpa has, and you've got a weavile and everything! And-- wow. Your eyes, you really are blind!
[Of course he's- grandpa? What? What the hell is she--]
Real funny. [He's quick to point his cuestick straight at her neck; it's pretty precise for someone who's blind.] You sound nothing like her. Who are you? What do you want? [...Still, she doesn't sound like she's lying...]
[She seems completely undaunted! She just tilts it away from her neck with a finger and continues talking excitedly.]
No, no! Daddy said I'm named after his big sister! I'm Blue Ember, and you're another version of my dad, right? Daddy did say he was kind of a time-and-space traveler unwittingly! Say, have you met any girl named Hilda yet?
[Back in the ball goes Jolteon! Blue doesn't quite step back, but she does rock back and forth on her feet, humming casually. Barett is just awkwardly staring at this debacle.]
DOUBLE DADS

[Big words. That Jolteon is well trained.
But so is he.]
