If you want bread that badly, I can get some later. [You know, when they're done here.] I can't guarantee a nice warm bed every night, but I won't let you starve.
[...Silver opens his mouth and starts to say something, but he perks up just before he can get out a word.
Honchkrow emerges from the trees, and Silver holds out his arm so he can land.]
Did you find it? [The bird adjusts his hat and nods, then turns to look at Ludger. Who's this guy? Honchkrow puffs his chest out and tries to make himself look larger than he already is- should he kick this guy's butt? He could send him sailing across the lake-
Honchkrow are usually this size. [It's not the size that matters, but how hard you can slam it into surfaces.]
Come on. [Over the river and through the woods- hopefully Ludger wasn't expecting an explanation, because explaining Pokémon covered enough explanations for the rest of the week.]
[It doesn't take long to get to their location- it's a small hidden building that looks out of place in the middle of all the trees.
Of course, before either of them can get a good look at their destination, a series of loud roars sound off one after the other. And it's not an unfamiliar sound, either. Remember Gyarados?
[He'll answer Ludger- kind of- but first, he lets Gyarados back out.]
Do your best to calm them down. [Gyarados nods and takes off without making too much of a fuss- they want as little attention on them as possible.
Silver turns to Ludger.]
You can fight with those weapons or yours, right? If you see anyone with a big red R on their chest, try and beat them up before they can let out their Pokémon.
[That's all the orders he's going to get. Silver heads towards the building to try to find a less obvious entrance than just plain storming in- luckily, there's a vent for them to sneak in.]
[That isn't anything new for him. Honestly, always having orders barked at him, he's learning quickly that he's never entirely sure he knows what's going on or if he's even on the right side of the conflict.
... but in this case, he at least trusts Silver somewhat. He could have killed him when they met, he made him food, and he was helping him find his way back.
So now that there is a problem, he's willing to help him out, even if he's not entirely sure what to do.]
There's even problems here, huh?
[But climbing into a vent? ... It's not entirely new to him.]
[That's what he almost had Weavile make this guy into an icicle for. He'd much rather just muscle their way through, but right now that's not a safe option. Sure, they'd be fine, but all those Magikarp and Gyarados in the lake...
Honchkrow pulls off the vent's cover like it's tissue paper; Silver hops in pretty easily and looks back to see if Ludger needs help getting in.]
[He can climb in on his own. He isn't a trained agent for nothing, after all.
... Though, the large bird pulling the vent cover off? That was a little frightening, and his face shows it. Soon after, he quickly hops up into the vent, nodding his head for Silver to move further along.]
[Oh good, he can move. Back in the ball for Honchkrow, and Weavile comes back out.
Silver looks at his Pokégear a few times in the midst of vent crawling until he's decided he's more or less in the right spot. there's no vent opening where he's stopped, however- but Weavile solves that problem quickly by quietly cutting through the metal with his claws.]
Get ready. [Or don't. Weavile can handle it and is the first one to jump down, but Silver's right behind him.
Luckily, the room isn't too full of people- just a few scientists and some guys in black uniforms with a bright red R worn proudly on their chests. They all reach for their belts at the sign of intruders and the grunts take the time to yell out the obvious- "You're not supposed to be in here!" and "How'd you find us?"]
[Ludger is quick, there's no denying that. Almost as quickly as they drop down, and they start reaching for their belts, he moves in quickly.
Although, he doesn't use his weapons for attacking. He pulls them out to go on the defense if he has to, but for the most part, he sticks to hand to hand combat, knocking some of the grunts down quickly with sweeps and throws.]
[One grunt down, two down- and the poor sap that actually managed to get out her Raticate gets her Pokémon cut down and slammed into her by Weavile's Night Slash immediately.
It doesn't take too long for everyone in the room to get knocked out, and the second the immediate danger's passed, Silver starts searching the room for- well. Something.
And he doesn't seem to find it, so out into the hallway it is. He peeks the door open just a crack to check for anyone patrolling the hallway before slipping out.]

I'd buy some, but...
[Uh... Poor at home, poor here. Especially with no money here. Great.]

Were you in the middle of something important?

Alright, buddy. Take it easy.]

Most birds back home are smaller.

[But apparently he has... bird Pokémon and nothing else?]

Silver gives Ludger a strange look, but doesn't say anything else on the matter.]

So he'll keep his mouth shut too, instead just following Silver silently.]
